When doing a lot of audtioning over a period of time, keep a journal to keep track of:

1. When and where you auditioned and what play you auditioned for.

2. What audition pieces you performed and the time/length of each piece.

3. What you wore to the audition and whether it was comfortable and/or appropriate to the audition.
ALWAYS HAVE THE FOLLOWING PIECES PREPARED:
2 Dramatic (contemporary)
2 Comedies (contemporary)
2 Classical
(one of them Shakespeare--pieces should contrast each other.)

FOR SINGING AUDITIONS:
1 ballad
1 up-tempo
1 comedic song.
